International Booker Prize 2025 Winner

a trailblazing writer, lawyer and activist from Karnataka, has become the first Kannada author to win the prestigious International Booker Prize for her short story collection "Heart Lamp" translated by Deepa Bhasthi on May 20,2025 in London.

✅International Booker Prize:

This prize is for fiction that is translated into English and published in the UK or Ireland. The prize money is shared equally between the author and the translator. The £50,000 prize money is split equally between the author and the translator, highlighting their equal contributions to the final English-language text.
